What do you enjoy most about your role in security? By nature, I am a protective person. Since I could remember, I wanted to protect my family, friends, my home and everything in between. Naturally, I entered the security field before I graduated from college. I have been fortunate to be able to learn from many great leaders in many sectors of the industry during my career. The greatest joy I get from working in this field is knowing that what I do makes people safer, companies more profitable and protects the integrity of the industry.
What do you see as a future, emerging trend in security? The use of Artificial Intelligence to assist in the protection of people, products and companies. The use of AI surveillance, access control, predictive analytics, integrated command centers, among other uses will greatly benefit any entity. With this newer technology, there are many concerns with implementation and risks involved. This is the reason to consult with a trusted security professional to get the most out of the technology and mitigate risk.
