Wake STEM Early College High School

Protus3 was excited to invite four students from the Wake STEM Early College High School into the office for a day of Job Shadowing. This is one of the best ways to learn and gain experience all while making connections with professionals.

The students were specifically interested in Forensic Science, IT Technology, Cyber Security, and Criminal Investigating. Our experts showed them just that. The day included with an office tour and meetings with our investigators, security consultants, and system designers. The goal of the day was to show the many different aspects of security, and that a career in this field holds an endless amount of possibilities.

The Wake STEM Early College High School is a small public school of choice; a joint project between the Wake County Public School System and North Carolina State University. STEM is the theme of the school’s program in addition to their identity as an early college.  Early college means students take college courses at NCSU as well as the courses required to earn a high school diploma over a five-year period.  STEM at the school does not just relate to four subject areas but instead permeates throughout the entire program as students explore the “Grand Challenges for Engineering”.

Best of luck to these intelligent students!
