RMA will provide design and project management services related to the design of electronic security devices for the new Brier Creek EMS Station project. The intent of this design will be to provide access control and security monitoring devices within the main facility. These systems will meet the Wake County standards for this type of facility. Our services will also include working with the Architect and Engineer that will be a part of the team to coordinate the required infrastructure for the security related devices.

The new Brier Creek EMS Station will be located just north of RDU International Airport. This new facility will replace an existing, pre-engineered metal building built in 1972 that Wake EMS has been operating out of since 2005. The new facility will be 4,084 square feet and will be a single-story, brick building with metal roofing and will be heavily insulated for sound, due to its close proximity to the airport. The building plan features three, single-length ambulance bays and living space that contains office, kitchen and sleeping areas similar to the Durant Station built in 2010. The new EMS station is expected to be ready for use by Wake County EMS by mid-2015.
