NCACLEA 2018 Winter ConferenceProtus3 is a long-term supporter of the NC Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (NCACLEA) both as a presenter and a Corporate Sponsor. This year’s 2018 NCACLEA Winter Conference was hosted by Wake Tech Public Safety department at the WTCC main campus in Raleigh, NC.

The NCACLEA does an amazing job of promoting professional standards and supporting the campus law enforcement needs of higher education in North Carolina. They are recognized for assembling and presenting training that includes valuable “lessons learned” for and often times by respected campus security professionals throughout the state, and this year was no exception. This year the training included a presentation on leadership and accountability by Brian Nanavati, Captain, Retired, of Dolan Consulting Group followed by a Legal Issues Update for Campus Law Enforcement presented by Attorney Dawn Floyd, the Director of Compliance/Title IX Coordinator and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lenoir Rhyne University. Following the NCACLEA Business Meeting and elections, University of North Carolina police Chief Jeff McCracken and Sgt. Jake Kornegay joined forces with ISSAAC Analysts (Information Sharing, Administration, & Analysis Center) to discuss and share insights and experiences dealing with Protest/Counter-Protest Event Planning and Operations.

NCACLEA is planning their summer conference to be held in Greensboro in June 2018.
