RMA collected food in support of the Greater Triangle Chapter of the IFMA Food Drive. These donated, kid-friendly food items will go to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina’s Stop Summer Hunger program which feeds children in need during the summer months. For many children, their only solid meal of the day during the school year is had during their school lunch.
The IFMA Team collected just shy of 1,000 pounds of food and $225 to help reduce hunger in children. The combined donated food and money will provide almost 2,000 meals. As Linda Fisher, Food Drive Manager at the Food Bank CENC, stated “school is out but hunger continues” for children who participate in the free/reduced lunch programs.
Facility Management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process, and technology. The Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA has evolved over the years since the chapter’s revitalization in the late 1990’s. It has become a consistent and reliable news source designed to educate and communicate with chapter members and local facilities professionals. Through dedication and commitment of volunteers, the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA is confident that they will continue to evolve and help keep members active, educated, involved and informed.
