The local ASIS International Chapter 119 held its 5th annual training conference on June 22, 2016. The conference was held at the PNC Arena where there were four guest speakers that spoke on several key topics related to the security industry.
The topics included:
- Camera Technology – Past, Present and Future presented by Wayne Dorris of Axis Communications
- Skills to Succeed in the 2020’s presented by Alan Borntrager, CPP of Red Hat
- The Importance of Collaboration Between Public and Private Sector presented by James Coman, Retired Director of NC State Bureau of Investigations
- Creation of a More Disaster-Resilient State presented by Persia Payne-Hurley, Private Sector Manager for NC Department of Public Safety’s Division of Emergency Management
There were approximately 15 sponsors that set up booths to display the latest technology and services offered today in the security industry and where the 80+ security professional attendees were able to talk to and gain knowledge of that technology and services.
